Dr. Siddharth R. Gautam—widely known as Dr. Sid—is a Cape Town-based, board-certified plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon. His areas of expertise include facial plastic surgery, breast reconstruction, microsurgery, and advanced body contouring.

Combining surgical precision with artistic sensitivity, Dr. Sid is passionate about restoring both form and function. He is particularly dedicated to helping patients recover from trauma and disfigurement, empowering them through reconstructive excellence and aesthetic harmony. His meticulous approach and compassionate care have earned him the trust of patients from across South Africa.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2008, Dr. Sid completed his general surgery training at Tygerberg Hospital in 2014 and qualified as a specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon in 2022. Dr. Sid continues to serve his profession as a consultant within a state hospital.

Dr. Sid is committed to professional development, participating in international conferences and collaborating with top surgeons to remain at the forefront of the field. In 2025, he became the first plastic surgeon in Africa to introduce the Alma Hybrid Laser at S&S Aesthetics, revolutionising scar revision and skin rejuvenation through a powerful combination of CO₂, Erbium, and Trans Epidermal Delivery technologies.

He co-founded S&S Aesthetics alongside his wife, Dr. Saumya Gautam, with whom he shares not only a vision for innovative aesthetic medicine but also a fulfilling family life. Together, they are proud parents to their son, Shiva.
